How to Use “Quand Même“

I posted a video recently where I react to native speakers and one woman used quand même quite a few times.

She said:

Les générations ont beaucoup changé quand même - generations have changed a lot

Quand même means “just the same, still, anyway, etc” but here it’s kind of like saying “I’m noticing / I’ve noticed that generations have changed a lot”.
