Check out this video and listen to how she says c’est beau (masculine adjective), even though she’s talking about une lampe (feminine noun).

When using c’est + adjectif, the adjective is always masculine!

This is also a great technique to say more with less!

One reason French learners struggle to express themselves is they’re trying to do too much.

If you’re a beginner, speaking simply will probably get you way better results!

Pro tip: If you learn 5-6 adjectives, you can say a ton of stuff with c’est + adjectif:

C’est intéressant

C’est compliqué

C’est difficile

Etc.

You could also do this in the past with c’était + adjectif:

C’était difficile

C’était pas cool (ce n’était pas…)
