✅Want to Speak French Well? ❌Stop Doing Worksheets 😓🇫🇷
Bonjour !!
I took on a new client a few months ago who’s been living in France for about 3 years, yet he really couldn’t speak French at all before working with me, despite taking all kinds of classes and giving it his all.
The reason is simple: He never practiced having conversations.
He took a ton of classes, but they never practiced conversing in the classroom. They read, did exercises and filled out worksheets - literally everything BUT practicing the thing he wanted to in French: converse!
The reason why French learners don’t practice conversation is because it’s scary, and it’s scary because they don’t practice. It’s a vicious cycle
But it doesn’t have to be that way! If you want to get better at French conversation, you just need the right blueprint. I’ll show you how to get started in our FREE French e-Course.
You’ll learn how:
How to get a basic French conversation going
How to find friends to practice with
+ a lot more !!
Then it’s just up to you to practice. And if you just get started practicing with real people, I promise it’s not as scary as it sounds.
Remember, if you want to be able to converse in French, there comes a point where watching videos and doing exercises just becomes a distraction! We want to feel like we’re making progress when we’re really not.
I often tell my more advanced clients: “If you want to speak French well, practice speaking French! Everything else is a distraction”.
You’ll be able to find people to practice with on apps like Tandem and HelloTalk (we are not currently sponsored by either of these companies, I just personally love their apps). You can also watch this video to see how I get the most out of these language learning apps.
And of course, if you have any questions at all, please reach out via Instagram. I’d love to help you get better at French conversation!
And if you need extra help and you’d like to work with me one-on-one, please send me an email and I will gladly add you to the waiting list.
Good luck and remember to enjoy the learning process
À bientôt !
