Learn French Watching Amélie !

In this video I break down a famous scene from the movie Amélie!

He says:

Ça fait des années qu’on (ne) s’est pas parlé - It’s been years since we’ve spoken

Ça fait + time = it’s been

Par exemple :

Ça fait 2 jours - it’s been 2 days

Ça fait une heure - it’s been 1 hour

Then you can add que if you want to add something to the phrase:

Ça fait 2 ans qu’on se connaît - We’ve known each other for 2 years (Kind of like “it’s been 2 years that we know each other”)

This is a pretty easy way to sound more natural in French and to learn more stuff like this, be sure to watch the full video!
