How to Sound More Natural in French 🇫🇷

Have you ever noticed how often the sound E is omitted in conversational French?

In this video I analyze how actress Jodie Foster speaks French, and one reason why she sounds so much like a native is because she doesn’t pronounce the sound E in words like: je, me, ce, de, etc.

Some examples and how she pronounces them:

J’ai envie de - I feel like

jai-en-vied

Ça me va - that’s fine with me

çam-va

Il y a plein de films - there are plenty of films

ya-pleind-films

Not only is this a pretty easy thing to do, but it also makes your French sound so much more natural!
